Our
background
Since 1979 I have been working in wood. In
1984 I started up my first furniture making workshop in Wiltshire. 1987
saw us move to Pembrokeshire where we make bespoke furniture and
manufacture furniture in small batches.

Quality is
ensured
We see the process through from purchasing
tree trunks, saw-milling and seasoning them to designing, making and
delivering the final piece of furniture.
|
|
|
Our children sometimes
help with painting the saw-milled planks, this helps to prevent splits and
shakes occurring in them during seasoning.

Workshop
With a visit to our workshop and showroom, you
can appreciate the design qualities, materials used, manufacturing skill
and low environmental impact in our furniture making.
In our well-equipped workshop we are able to
combine the efficient use of machinery with traditional hand skills.

|
Tradition and
Technology
From wood preparation to final assembly and
finishing we can use varied yet appropriate methods, permitting efficient
use of material but allowing individuality to be evident within each piece
of furniture.
Time-tested construction techniques prevail.
Traditional jointing methods such as mortice and tenons and dovetails are
used to ensure long lasting strength and integrity and steam bending is an
ideal way to efficiently form the gentle curves needed in various chair
components.
